Specific, reversible Inhibitor for Caspase-1
The tetrapeptide aldehyd Ac-YVAD-CHO is a reversible inhibitor for caspase-1 and is often used as a control substance for enzyme inhibition. This inhibitor is also used to block IL-18 production. Ac-YVAD-CHO inhibits ICE, interleukin-1β converting enzyme reversible, whereas Ac-YVAD-CMK binds irreversible at the same target. The less specific z-vad-fmk is also available by PeptaNova as well as the fluorogenic enzyme substrate Ac-YVAD-AMC.
All these commonly used caspase substrates and inhibitors are available from our stock in Sandhausen, Germany.
