Synthetic Product (Trifluoroacetate Form)
Caspase-1 (ICE) Inhibitor – Slow-binding inhibitor, with low selectivity
The vial contains exactly 5.0 mg ( 9.0 µmol ) of the substrate Ac-YVKD-CHO, which has been lyophilized as an amorphous powder from aqueous solution.
Solution: Carefully open the cap. Pour 0.9 ml of DMSO* (analytical grade) into the vial. Close the cap tightly. Shake well until all the contents are dissolved. This procedure furnishes a 10 mM solution of the titled compound. *DMSO: dimethyl sulfoxide
Advice: Do not use an aqueous buffer solution substitute for DMSO. If an aqueous buffer solution is used, this compound may racemize soon. The DMSO solution is stable at -20″C for more than one month if it is protected from moisture and kept in the dark.
