Irreversible Inhibitor for Caspase-1
Ac-YVAD-CMK (Ac-Tyr-Val-Ala-Asp-CH2Cl) is used as an irreversible inhibitor for Caspase-1, instead of the pseudo acid (aldehyde) Ac-YVAD-CHO which inhibits caspase reversible. The caspase-1 inhibitor Ac-YVAD-CMK is of interest in reasearch of sepsis and endotoxic shock.
