The Fluorescence-Quenching Substrate MOCAc-Arg-Pro-Lys-Pro-Tyr-Ala-Nva-Trp-Met-Lys(Dnp)-NH2 was hydrolized rapidly by MMP-3 (stromelysin 1) whereas interstitial collagenase (MMP-1) cleaved this substrate much slower.
